I Know You

I know that you experience moments of pain.

Moments of overwhelm and isolation.

Moments in which you don’t know your way forward and fear you do not belong.

I know that you work so hard to control the outcome of your life,

yet often find yourself caught in old worn-out ways of being.

I know that you long to live more deeply, more intimately and more courageously than you currently know how.

Just as I know that deep within you there is another part that knows.

A part of you that loves the life you have been given.

A part of you that loves who you are.

A part of you that knows freedom and experiences your body as home.

I know this because I have experienced the same feelings.

I am familiar with the lonely ache of disconnection,

just as I am familiar with the exquisite beauty of knowing I am alive.

Through it,

I have come to see that are all fallible and loveable.

All knowing and wise.

All capable of overcoming anything our hearts long to,

when we we allow ourselves to feel what life has intended for our eyes.
